GBDSS Bears won the SCAA Tier II baseball championship which was played June 11th at Coates Stadium (BCSC). In the semi-final the Bears defeated the OSS Nighthawks by a score of 8-1. Game details below;
Greg Ingram was starting pitcher and pitched 5 2/3 innings of no-hitter, giving up just 1 walk and 2 unearned runs and striking out 7. Matt Rumney came in to get the last 4 outs, giving up just 1 hit . Offensive performances included Kyle Weatherall going 2-4 with 2 singles and 3 RBI, Greg Ingram 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Andrew Foster 2-4, and Alex Wickett was 2-2 , including an RBI bunt single and a walk.
In the championship final game the Bears defeated the BCSS Kodiaks by a score of 7-2. Game details below;
Kam Baker was starting pitcher and through 4 1/3 innings gave up just 1 run. Offensively, Kyle Weatherall led the way with a single, a triple, and a walk, Ian Phillips was 2-3 and Kam Baker drove in 2 key insurance runs late in the game with an RBI double.
