The Le Caron Sr Girls volleyball team defeated St. Dominic’s on Feb. 22nd in the GBSSA championship final and in the process earned a birth in the “A” division OFSAA championship tournament. Le Caron will travel to Kenora March 4th – 6th.

The GBDSS Girls Hockey team defeated the SCI Trojans 3-2 on Tues. Feb 19th to capture the SCAA A/AA championship. The Bears will now play St. Theresa’s on Feb. 27th at the North Simcoe Sport & Recreation Centre at 2:30 pm in the GBSSA semi-final. The ESS Wildcats Jr AAA Volleyball Girls won the 2019 SCAA Championship by defeating the Bear Creek Kodiaks 3 sets to 2 on Thurs. Feb. 21st. The wildcats will now host St. Peter’s (CSASC rep.) in the GBSSA championship final which is scheduled for Mon. Feb. 25th, 4:30 pm at ESS. All SCAA playoff games and events have been cancelled Feb. 12th due to inclement weather. The SCAA website schedule will be updated today with re-scheduled dates and times.

All SCAA scheduled games and events for Wednesday Feb. 6th have been cancelled due to inclement weather. Schedules will be updated throughout the morning to account to today’s game date changes.

GBSSA Nordic Skiing championship is scheduled for Feb. 13th at Highlands Nordic Centre in Duntroon. GBSSA Alpine Skiing championship is being held at Osler Bluff on Feb. 14th. The GBSSA Wrestling championship is scheduled for Feb. 14th at Patrick Fogarty Catholic High School.

The SCAA playoffs commence Feb. 8th with Preliminary Round action in Boys AAA Sr and Jr basketball. Quarter and or semi final playoff rounds will commence the week of Feb. 11 – 14 in most SCAA winter season sports.
