The Banting Marauders AAA girls soccer team defeated Senator O’Connor College (TDCAA) 2-0 and lost to Donald A. Wilson S.S. (LOSSA) 5-2 in day 1 pool play of the AAA OFSAA tournament which is hosted in Alliston by BMHS. Day 2 pool play will see the Marauders face A.N. The SCAA Tier II baseball Final 4 championship Final is scheduled for June 10th at the BCSC. The semi finals will be played at 11 am. The match-ups for the semi finals will see the #1 OSS Nighthawks pay the the #4 GBDSS Bears while the #2 Bear Creek Kodiaks will play the #3 TLSS Thunderbirds. The championship final game will be played at 2:30 pm.

The ESS Wildcats slo-pitch team defeated the OSS Nighthawks 13-4 in the final of the AAA championship tournament played June 6th at the BCSC. The SCI Spartans captured the A/AA slo-pitch title on June 6th at the BCSC by defeating the EDHS Eagles by a score of 13-8.

The SCAA AAA & A/AA Slo-Pitch Championship Tournament began this morning at 9:00 am at the BCSC in Midhurst. Champions will be determined in both divisions with the A/AA Tier I and Tier II finals being played at 3:15 pm while the AAA Tier I and Tier II finals will be played at 4:30 pm.

The CCI Fighting Owls faced the BCSS Kodiaks in the combined SCAA/GBSSA championship game on May 31st at Harbourview field in Collingwood. The Fighting Owls defeated the Kodiaks 10-7 and in the process captured both the SCAA and GBSSA championship titles. The Fighting Owls will now advance to the Barbarian Cup which will be played at the Fergus Highland Rugby Club from June 9th to 10th.

The NPSS Timberwolves Sr boys A/AA rugby team defeated St. Thomas Aquinas May 31st by a score of 43-7 in the GBSSA championship game. The Timberwolves will now advance to the A/AA OFSAA championship rugby tournament which will be played June 6th-8th in Brooklin. The BNCI Sr boys AAA rugby team defeated the BMHS Marauders 27-3 in the combined SCAA/GBSSA championship game which was played on May 31st at the Jim Hamilton field in Midhurst. The victory over BMHS gave the Vikings an undefeated season in SCAA regular season and playoff action. The GBSSA championship title win now advances the Vikings to the OFSAA championship tournament which will take place June 6th-8th in Brooklin.

The BMHS Marauders defeated the St. Theresa’s Thunder 2 games to 1 in the best of 3 series in the GBSSA baseball championship which took place May 29th and 30th at the BCSC. In Wednesday’s play the Marauders defeated the Thunder 6-0 in game 1. The Thunder responded with a 6-5 victory which forced game 3 on Thursday.
